Cross Country

cross country

Sport Description

The course will be a mixture of mainly grass and a small portion of gravel track, with some artificial turf to allow runners to cross over the main driveway to Parliament Buildings.
The nature of the course will be dependent on the weather conditions. If the ground is extremely wet, there will be fewer grass areas to run on and more gravel tracks and tarmac. Runners are advised to bring a selection of running shoes, i.e. spike and trail shoes.

The Cross Country event will involve 4 races (Women's 5k and 10k, Men's 5k and 10k). There are a wide range of age categories in both distances, with team and heavyweight categories in the 10k races only.
