The Tug of War competition at WPFG 2013 will consist of the following categories:
Mens - (6 person team) Lightweight (1080lbs/490kg) Heavyweight (1500lbs/680kg) Catchweight (no limit)
Womens - (6 person team) Lightweight (767lbs/380kg) Heavyweight (828lbs/410kg)
Unisex - (8 person team) Catchweight (no limit)
Weigh-in for competitors will take place on Friday 2nd August, from 5.00pm onwards at Stormont Sports Pavilion.

The venue for Tug of War is Stormont Pavilion within Stormont Estate.
Located 9km east of the city centre, this venue contains one of Northern Ireland's most iconic buildings - Parliament Buildings. These government buildings are surrounded by a 164-hectare public park with marked walks providing spectacular views across Belfast.

What type of footwear is permitted?
Outdoor shoes with the sole, heel and side of the heel perfectly flush. Studs and spikes are not permitted. No metal soles, toe caps or toe plates are permitted.
What size is the rope?
Rope will be supplied by the host and will not be less than 100mm or more than 125mm in circumference. It will be free from knots or other holdings for the hands. The maximum length of the rope must not be less than 33.5 metres.
What about team uniforms?
The sport dress of the pullers in the team shall be uniform. The sport dress of the coach and team attendant will conform to the colours of the pullers.
