Getting to Belfast couldn't be easier. Below is a list of the airports and sea crossings, along with visa information and links to the firearms regulation section of the WPFG website.

Travelling by air

George Best Belfast City Airport

The airport is situated just three miles from Belfast city centre. Please check www.belfastcityairport.com for flight information.

Belfast International Airport

Belfast International Airport is 30 minutes drive via the M2 Motorway. Please check www.belfastairport.com for flight information.

City of Derry Airport

City of Derry Airport is located in County Londonderry in the north west of Northern Ireland (77 miles from Belfast). Please check www.cityofderryairport.com for flight information.

Dublin International Airport

Dublin Airport is the largest and most extensive airport in the island of Ireland. Situated to the north of Dublin, the airport is within a 2 hour drive of Belfast (using toll road). For flight information visit www.dublinairport.com

Shannon Airport

Shannon Airport is approximately 15 miles from Limerick and 243 miles from Belfast. For flight information visit www.shannonairport.com

Cork Airport

Cork Airport is situated 5 miles from Cork city centre and 266 miles from Belfast. For flight information visit www.corkairport.com

Travelling by sea

Belfast is easily accessed by sea with crossings from both Scotland and England. Please check out Stena Line, P&O Irish Sea and the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company for travel options.

Ferry crossings to Dublin, Rosslare and Dun Laoghaire in the Republic of Ireland are also available from Wales and France with Stena Line and P&O Irish Sea

Visa Waiver scheme for visitors to the Republic of Ireland. 

If you are from one of the seventeen listed countries and planning to travel to Belfast for the Games you are now able to add a trip to Republic of Ireland without the need to obtain an Irish visa in addition to your UK visa. 

This will enable visitors travelling to Belfast for the Games to visit the Republic of Ireland without any additional visa requirements. Further information can be obtained through the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service website.
