Travelling by air
George Best Belfast City Airport
The airport is situated just three miles from Belfast city

City of Derry Airport is located in County Londonderry in the

Dublin International Airport
Dublin Airport is the largest and most extensive airport in the
island of Ireland. Situated to the north of Dublin, the airport is
within a 2 hour drive of Belfast (using toll road). For flight

Shannon Airport
Shannon Airport is approximately 15 miles from Limerick and

Cork Airport
Cork Airport is situated 5 miles from Cork city centre and 266

Travelling by sea
Belfast is easily accessed by sea with crossings from both
Scotland and England. Please check out Stena Line, P&O Irish Sea and the Isle of Man Steam Packet
Company for travel options.
Ferry crossings to Dublin, Rosslare and Dun Laoghaire in the
Republic of Ireland are also available from Wales and France
with Stena Line and P&O Irish Sea

Visa Waiver scheme for visitors to the Republic of
Ireland.
If you are from one of the seventeen listed countries and
planning to travel to Belfast for the Games you are now able to add
a trip to Republic of Ireland without the need to obtain an Irish
visa in addition to your UK visa.
This will enable visitors travelling to Belfast for the Games to
visit the Republic of Ireland without any additional visa
